We always strain our eyes during the day, facing the computer screen or smartphone screen. At the end of the day, our eyes dry out and become uncomfortable, but we are often too tired to properly massage it or rest it. Taking care of your eyes has to be taken to another level, with greater convenience and innovation with the MegRhythm Steam Eye Mask! Read on to find out where you can get samples to try out this interesting product!
I love my self-pampering sessions before I sleep, during which I either put on a facial mask, do a facial massage after the usual beauty routine of cleanser-toner-moisturizer. But have you heard of using steam eye masks? I haven't either, until SampleStore (sign up for free here!) got me to try it out.
Happy selfie with my steam eye masks! :) Inside each box, there are 5 steam eye masks. They are individually packed so you can bring one or two in your bag to enjoy at your workplace for breaks or when you go on long flights (I know I'm bringing some along for my upcoming trip).
When I opened it, it looks like this... the texture actually feels like a thin sanitary pad when I first opened it, but I got over the uncanny resemblance quickly as I wanted to try out how comfortable and "steamy" it can get! It is similar to a cotton pad but has a squarish cardboard material inside keep it sturdy as well. After all, it's there to give a puffy pillowy effect to the eyes for extra comfort.
Here is the demonstration of how the eye mask will start to warm up once it comes into contact with air. It says on the packaging that it will reach soothing temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius to relax your tired eyes!
The prescription says to put it on for 10 minutes, but the heating effect can last well up to 20 minutes or so. Look at the amount of steam produced from the heating of the eye masks. I sprayed some facial water on the mask so that I can achieve this effect, otherwise there won't be any steam because the eye mask itself is completely dry.
There are soft tissue-textured ear loops. When I wore it, I hardly felt its presence and can enjoy a good afternoon sleep. Fell asleep straightaway after taking photos for this product review because it's so comfortable! :)
The effects are mostly relaxing and makes your eyes look more awake and bright after the pampering. If you are curious where you can get this innovative eye masks, you can get it in Guardian and Watson outlets, retailing at $6.50 for 5 masks! There are 4 variants: unscented, lavender-sage, chamomile-ginger, and fresh rose aroma.
