Food for Thought (Queen Street)

Cafe by the museums.

Food for Thought is a cafe that comes from pre-hipster era, and this is a name that everyone will think of when they are near the Singapore Arts Museum and looking for a dinner spot. Food For Thought ain't any regular cafe though, they pride themselves in a business philosophy of serving good food for a good cause.

This cozy cafe is made for quiet dates out with girlfriends or your partner. I like how minimalist and simple it is, especially how conducive it was for conversations. The girlfriend had chosen the grilled salmon (barramundi option available) with basil almond pesto with sauteed garden vegetables & rocket salad (SGD23) and upon recommendation by the service staff, I picked the banana & walnut pancakes (SGD14). The salmon was evidently much more delicious, succulent and savoury tender meat, while the pancakes were slightly underwhelming... they were not as fluffy as I envisioned. I guess the mains should be better than the breakfast selections, but I will leave that to the next time I try their mains.
