When I write this, I don't feel like I can do this place enough justice ever. I mean, how could I, I had one of the best meals in my life here. It could be that the stars aligned on this day, and everything just came together nicely, but if you ever find yourself in Abu Dhabi, Al Sayyad Marine Restaurant and Grills is a place you must go for your meals. Even if it is out of the way, this is really worth your time. I don't say this often, especially when I am an advocate of travel itineraries that 'make sense'. I guess the only reason why you might not visit this place is if you're highly allergic to seafood, to that, unfortunately you're missing out on this gem of a place.. don't worry, I will be posting other non-seafood places in Abu Dhabi that are extremely worth checking out too.

This is one meal I certainly do not like to be disturbed when I am digging in. For once, no conversations required, just pure feasting! The grilled prawns and the fish were absolutely delightful, sweet with its natural taste. My eyes watered with happiness as I peel off the prawns from the shells with my bare hands.  The prawns slip off from their shells easily. Such satisfaction. I am a glutton and I love being pampered with such good seafood. 

You know, usually the less fresh seafood gets 'salvaged' through the baptism of fire because fried or grilled items are more forgiving on the level of freshness. And if the restaurant owners have really fresh seafood, they would try to present it steamed, so as to 'show off' how good it is. But grilled + absolutely fresh seafood... this is really amazing. You have got to try it at Al Sayyad Marine Restaurant and Grills, nothing less.

Even the fried rice was fantastic. I don't know what they fry it with, but it is so, so tasty.
