Something is happening, something reallyyy delicious from the amazing country of perfection and sushiland - Japan! If you've been around Japanese restaurants these days in Singapore, you might have noticed that the Spring Lunch Fair is happening from 8 - 21 May 2017~ No need for a six hour flight - you can experience the true colours of Japanese cuisine as they unleashed exclusive spring flavours in their culinary creations, right here in Singapore.
Inaniwa Yosuke is one of the many Japanese restaurants in the family of Japan Food Town - If you haven't checked it out before, you should ;)
One of the many items featured for Spring Lunch Fair is the Sakura Ebi & Negi Bara-Kakiage Udon (Hot / Cold) ($11.80++) from Inaniwa Yosuke.
Much thinner and smoother than conventional ramen, the Inaniwa udon is handmade every step of the way by Japanese chefs at their open concept kitchen. The Inaniwa udon is made with techniques and ingredients passed down the Sato Yosuke family line for hundreds of years, a closely guarded recipe that was developed in 1665 and originally only served to the Imperial family! In 1860, Inaniwa udon finally became available to the public, and has since remained firmly established as one of Japan’s best udon noodles.
The combination of the sauce gives flavours from the sea, earthy flavours with the red ginger and a twinge of guilty pleasure from the tempura mix. With the udon noodles slippery and lightweight on the tongue, this is certainly one of the best I've had.
